Week 12 brought wins to most of the Circa Survivor field, both 1K and Grandissimo, with the top-chosen teams navigating through relatively unscathed. The 49ers closed out the week on this momentous Monday night, beating the Panthers with the ball-moving abilities of Brock Purdy and Christian McCaffrey, and letting 32% of the Circa 1K field pass Go.
On Sunday, the Ravens cruised past the Jets, securing 267 survivors. Those entries, however, must face the music of not having Baltimore available for the Thanksgiving round. Also on Sunday, the Seahawks edged the Titans in a match that probably should have been easier, the Lions topped the Giants after pushing into overtime, and the Packers knocked down the Vikings at Lambeau Field. In short, not a whole lot of carnage this week. The only entries to exit were 29 on Las Vegas, 5 on Buffalo, and 5 on New Orleans.
This calm probably won't last. Thanksgiving looms as the field of remaining entries is looking over a table of limited options. Sure, a chunk of entries have gritted their teeth to bank Philadelphia and/or Baltimore for this moment. But these teams have opponents coming to town with something to prove. The Bengals took another loss this week, however the word is that QB Joe Burrow may return to the field for this week's game which could turn the tide. Meanwhile, the Bears just knocked off the Steelers and are riding a hot streak into their matchup with the Eagles. So will the big birds deliver for the masses, or will the risk-takers get the last laugh? All we can do is watch the numbers. And hydrate.
