Splash is running a $2 million World Cup Survivor contest.
It is $100 per entry, multiple entries are allowed, and the format is simple enough to gain an edge without specialized soccer knowledge. Similar to how we approach NFL Survivor, we think this contest offers a great spot for finding edge and excitement.
Here is the basic setup.

World Cup Survivor rules reflect the tournament itself.
First, you survive the group stage. Then, if your entry is still alive, you must survive the knockout bracket.
Before the World Cup starts, you pick four teams to advance out of their groups.
That is all you need from them.
You do not need to pick group winners. You do not need to predict scores. You just need each of your four teams to survive the group stage and reach the Round of 32.
The 2026 World Cup has 12 groups, labeled A through L. Each group has four teams. The top two teams from each group advance automatically, and eight third-place teams also advance, creating a 32-team knockout field. We have to wait and see how the 32-team bracket takes shape, as FIFA has a complicated process for deciding that.
Once the group stage ends, 32 teams remain and the contest shifts into elimination mode.
From there, you need to pick winners round by round:
| Round | Picks Required |
|---|---|
| Round of 32 | 2 teams |
| Round of 16 | 2 teams |
| Quarterfinals | 2 teams |
| Semifinals | 1 team |
| Final | 1 team |
That means you will make 12 total selections across the full contest: four in the group stage and eight in the knockout rounds.
You cannot reuse a team.
Every team you pick in the group stage is burned for the rest of the contest. If you use Brazil, France, Argentina, or England just to get through the group stage, you cannot use that team later in the bracket.
That is the whole game.
It is basically the same rule that makes NFL Survivor so unforgiving. You are not just trying to survive today. You are trying to avoid destroying your future. "Bracketed Survivor" is even more punishing as using up the teams who make it deep will leave you with zero options when the stakes are highest.
Group-stage picks lock before the tournament begins.
Then the group stage plays out over roughly two weeks. During that time, you get to watch the teams, learn from the results, and see how the bracket forms.
But your first four teams are already gone from your entry forever.
Once the Round of 32 starts, you have to navigate five knockout rounds using only teams you have not already used.
Splash guarantees $2 million in prizes in the main World Cup Survivor contest.
The contest also has potential overlay, meaning the guaranteed prize pool may be larger than the total entry fees collected. In a contest where skill matters, overlay can be a meaningful edge before you even make a pick.
Entries are $100 each. One entry gets you in. Multiple entries let you build different paths, take different risks, and spread your strategy across the bracket.
Splash is also offering a $1 million World Cup Survivor contest.

Pick four teams to survive the group stage.
Lose access to those teams forever.
Then survive five knockout rounds with the teams you have left.
The obvious picks may get you through the first phase, but they may also cost you the teams you need to win the whole thing.
That is World Cup Survivor.
