Wouldn’t you know. As soon as we launched a game about upsets, there were fewer upsets (you’re welcome?). Favorites held on in most Week 8 games, but the big and glaring upset came when Arizona faced Dallas. The Cowboys led 17-3 late in the 3rd quarter and 24-10 into the 4th, however the Cardinals started stacking up points in the 4th quarter and then nabbed a 33-30 overtime win after being 7.5-point underdogs.
That made Arizona the biggest dog of the week with backers in our game. More than 13 twitter/X accounts picked the Cardinals, which tripped the UPSET! game's overtime rule: instead of splitting the $1313 after Week 8, accounts who picked Arizona (and had more than 13 followers) advanced to the Week 9 Overtime round. One more Big Dog Board, one more pick. Whoever of these finalists backs this week's biggest upset will take or split the pot.
Watch for the UPSET! Overtime board to appear Wednesday on twitter/X or track the Upset! picks here on Survivor Atlas. To everyone else who played, thanks for trying our game and riding with the dogs!
