Thanksgiving Thursday and Black Friday brought an astonishing parade of upsets for Survivor players and the NFL audience at large. First off, the Green Bay Packers dominated Detroit with four touchdown passes from Jordan Love, improving their NFC playoff positioning and sending 13 Circa 1K entries packing. Next, KC squared off as favorites against Dallas. Patrick Mahomes started strong with a couple of zinger TDs but by the second half Dak Prescott was locking things up for the Cowboys. They outplayed Kansas City to win 31-28, letting 78 Circa 1K entries down.
Late evening brought another dramatic matchup: Bengals versus Ravens. Baltimore had been the strongest favorite of the Thanksgiving slate, and many survivor players had banked them all season for this moment. But Joe Burrow's triumphant return (after weeks recovering from an injured foot) changed the course of the night. He led Cincinnati to a commanding 32-14 victory, obliterating 269 Circa 1K entries in one swoop.
Black Friday delivered the ultimate knockout. The Bears' highly-anticipated visit to defending champion Eagles drew massive attention, and massive ownership. Philadelphia fans kept it loud, but they couldn't drown out the commanding passes of Caleb Williams and the deft leadership of coach Ben Johnson. Chicago won it 24-15 to the delight of 28 Circa 1K entries, while a whopping 489 entries on the Eagles said goodbye to their Survivor dreams.
With these results, the Circa Grandissimo contest came to a neat and glorious conclusion this week. Three entries had backed the Ravens, three had taken the Eagles. Imagine how hard those Ravens pickers were cheering for Philly to crash on Friday. Congratulations to the holders of these six entries, set to split a $6.9 million pot.
The Circa 1K contest heads into Sunday's Week 13 slate with 49 entries left in the running for $18.7 million. Picks will be revealed by Circa tonight. The LA Chargers are the most-available favorite, so it will be interesting to see how many settle on that chalk pick versus heading further down the board. Tomorrow the action starts at 1pm EST as usual. Check the full schedule on our timeline and buckle up.
