Atlas Intelligence
At Survivor Atlas, we track every team’s strength using market‑implied power ratings. These ratings do not come from gut feelings or “eye test” takes. They come straight from the most efficient machine we have for valuing teams: the betting market.
A power rating is a number that says, in effect, “this is how good the team is on the gridiron.” It's not directly related to Survivor future value but its a great proxy measure.
The difference between two teams’ ratings predicts the point spread on a neutral field. If Team A has a rating of +4 and Team B has a rating of 0, the market says Team A would be a 4 point favorite on neutral ground.
We back into these ratings by looking at actual betting lines. Spreads and totals carry all the clues we need about how the world values each team right now.
Efficient Market Theory tells us that, on average, the combined opinions of millions of dollars in wagers are a better predictor than any single expert. Every sharp bettor, syndicate model, and insider report is already baked into those odds. That means the market’s implied win percentage for a game is the best real time estimate we have.
Current week power ratings are extremely accurate. Where things get interesting is when you look ahead. The further out you go, the fuzzier the picture gets. Quarterback injuries, roster changes, and shifting matchups all erode certainty.
That murkiness is where savvy Survivor players can find an edge. If you can spot the spots where the market is likely to move in your favor weeks before it happens, you can plan your season better than the competition.
Our Map takes these power ratings and runs them forward. Many future weeks have no betting markets yet, so we use the ratings to estimate what the spreads and therefore win probabilities are likely to be. This lets you see potential strong spots or weak points in your season before anyone else has a price to look at. The Map gives you a head start on planning well before the market catches up.
We take the raw market data, convert it into consistent ratings for all 32 teams, and update them constantly. You can see how every team stacks up now and use that foundation to plan the rest of your season. No guessing. No hype. Just the market’s collective intelligence, distilled into one number.
